Start with the team names, date, venue and starting goalies. Choose whether event times mean time remaining or elapsed time, following your competition’s convention. Record each goal’s period, clock, team, scorer and assists. Keep penalties and goalie appearances in their own tables, then fill in the period and final scores by hand. No scores or statistics are calculated automatically.

What stats should I track during a hockey game?

This general game record has space for 10 goals, eight penalties, four goalie appearances, period scores and shootout notes. Each event identifies the team. It is not a complete official game report or roster form. If you need more space, print another copy, mark it Continuation and keep the same game details and clock convention.

How do I track penalties on a hockey score sheet?

Record the period, clock, team, penalized player or bench, infraction and minutes assessed. The Served by column identifies a different player serving the penalty when applicable. Record the official’s assessment and follow your competition’s rules; assessed minutes are not necessarily the actual time served.

How are goalie stats tracked?

Use one row per goalie appearance, identifying the team and goalie. Record the period and clock at entry and exit, then saves and goals against (GA) for that appearance. Two additional rows allow changes or re-entry. Note empty-net intervals separately and apply your competition’s statistical rules. The two starting goalie fields are optional.

What about periods, overtime and shootouts?

The summary includes P1, P2, P3 and an overtime total. Mark event rows with OT1, OT2 and so on when needed; leave unused periods blank. Record shootout attempts and the deciding result separately from the goal log. Apply your competition’s rules to the final score and goalie statistics; the sheet does not enforce a particular league’s rules.

Will my details be saved?

Team names, game details, starting goalies, paper size and clock convention stay in this browser when local storage is available. Clear details asks for confirmation and keeps your paper and clock settings. If saving is unavailable, a message explains that you should export before closing the tab. Handwritten game events are not stored by the website.

Is there a digital hockey scoreboard alternative?

Open the hockey scoreboard below the sheet to set up a separate score display for spectators. Enter its team names and settings there; sheet details and handwritten scores are not transferred. For an official game report, use the paperwork required by your competition.
