Baseball Scoreboard Online β Free for Any Game
Keep one baseball game's runs, hits, errors, outs, inning and occupied bases in view. Enter the visiting team and home team above, then choose Create this board. Your names carry into the saved game. Use it for a youth game, travel ball, high school scrimmage, adult league or a backyard game; apply your event's rules yourself.
Online Baseball Scoreboard with R/H/E Totals
The display shows current runs, hits and errors for each team, plus the inning, count and runners. It does not record individual innings or at-bats. For a written record of each play, use the printable baseball score sheet alongside the live display.
Who Uses Our Free Baseball Scoreboard
A coach or parent can keep score at the field while friends and family follow the saved totals from another screen. One person enters the plays; the spectator display updates when changes save. Playing softball? Start the seven-inning softball scoreboard instead.
How the Baseball Scoreboard Works
New games start 0β0 in the top of inning one, with visitors batting first. Use +1 and β1 for runs, or replace the total directly. Hits and errors have separate controls. Mark occupied bases after each play; these controls do not decide whether a hit or error occurred.
Ball adds to the count. On Ball 4, forced runners advance and the count clears. Strike records an out on the third strike. Record Out clears the count; the third out also clears the bases and moves to the next half-inning. Undo last action restores the previous scoring state, including a mistaken third out or loaded walk.
Use Top or Bottom to select the batting half and Prev Inning/Next Inning to correct the inning. Baseball starts with nine markers; Next Inning reaches 12, while third-out transitions can continue beyond that. Decide game endings, time limits and run-ahead rules yourself.
In Publish, copy Leaderboard URL for spectators. Keep the private Admin URL for yourself or a trusted co-scorer; it grants editing access. Both screens need connectivity. To rename a team, open Team Customization and select Apply. The default teams have distinct blue/orange surfaces; custom colors and logos like the example require Pro. Compare the current plans.
Tracking a Whole Tournament, Not Just One Game?
A separate online leaderboard maker can show standings you enter for a travel ball weekend or league. Enter the wins or run-differential values and choose the sort order yourself. It does not automatically import results from this baseball board or calculate your competition's tie rules.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this baseball scoreboard online free?
Basic scoring is Free. Start one guest board without signup, or keep up to 10 boards with a Free account. Each Free shared board includes 50 total views, not 50 simultaneous viewers, and may show ads. Pro adds custom team colors/logos and unlimited views.
Can I track runs, hits, and errors (R/H/E)?
Yes. Enter and correct each team's total runs, hits and errors separately. The display shows those totals, the current inning and the count. It does not keep an inning-by-inning run ledger or a play-by-play scorebook.
Does it show base runners on a diamond?
Yes. Mark occupied bases with the 1st Base, 2nd Base and 3rd Base checkboxes. Ball 4 advances forced runners and scores a run if the bases are loaded. Recording a third out clears the bases and switches sides. Other runner movements are manual.
Does it support 7 and 9 inning games with extras?
A baseball board starts with nine inning markers. You can stop after seven innings or whenever your event's rules require. Next Inning selects up to inning 12; recording third outs continues half-innings beyond that. There is no automatic tie check, game-ending rule or 7/9-inning format selector in the scorer.
Does the online baseball scoreboard work for softball too?
The basic controls work for both. The dedicated softball scoreboard starts with seven inning markers and has its own scorer. Use the softball link below for that setup.
Can I use it for Little League or travel ball tournaments?
Use one board for one game's live totals and share its spectator link. Apply your event's inning, time and run-limit rules yourself. A standalone board does not combine results from multiple fields or generate tournament standings; a separate leaderboard needs its own entries.
Will it work as a baseball scoreboard for PC, TV, or iPad?
Open the scorer in a current phone, tablet or computer browser. Open the Leaderboard URL on a separate screen for spectators. A TV or projector can show the browser output from a connected computer; built-in TV browsers vary. Scoring and live updates need an internet connection.
