A worked 8-team schedule on two courts
Start at 9:00, allow 30 minutes per match slot and 15 minutes between rounds. Finish each round before the next begins. These planning times assume every match finishes within its slot.
| Round | Matches | First start | Last finish |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quarterfinals | 4 | 9:00 | 10:00 |
| Semifinals | 2 | 10:15 | 10:45 |
| Final | 1 | 11:00 | 11:30 |
Confirm your sport’s required rest and allow for check-in and overruns. The managed scheduler checks possible qualifiers, shared courts and existing club bookings before you apply a schedule. If every team needs several games, use the round-robin generator; for weekly fixtures, use the league schedule maker.
Questions before you start?
How many matches are in a 8-team bracket?
A 8-team single-elimination bracket needs 7 played matches to find one champion. Each match eliminates one team. This total excludes a third-place match and does not count byes as games.
How many byes does a 8-team bracket have?
None with a full field of 8. Every team starts in the opening round. If teams withdraw before the draw is finalized, change the team count in the builder to show the required byes.
Can I fill in names and download this bracket?
Yes. Enter names in seed order and download a PDF or SVG without signing up. Leave names empty for numbered spaces to fill by hand. The PDF is a snapshot; printed results do not update online.
How long does a 8-team tournament take?
For example, with two courts and 30-minute match slots, this single-elimination draw takes 4 sequential playing waves, or 120 minutes before breaks, rest, and overruns. Your match length and event rules determine the actual schedule.
Can I run this as a live tournament?
Yes. Use the button beneath the preview to carry these teams into a free live bracket. Choose a sport and generate the draw. Spectators can follow the shared tournament link.
