Free Online Penalty Timer

A penalty timer (or penalty box clock) counts down the time a player must spend in the penalty box after committing an infraction. Once it hits zero, the player is eligible to return to play. It's used in hockey, lacrosse, box lacrosse, and soccer leagues that use a sin bin.

In the NHL and most standard hockey rules: a minor penalty is 2 minutes, a double minor is 4 minutes (two consecutive 2-minute penalties), a major penalty is 5 minutes, and a misconduct penalty is 10 minutes.
